A life of music is one of continuous exploration, joy and revelation. The goal of World Music Education is to provide our students with the best possible tools and techniques as they travel their own path of creation and discovery.

Our faculty boasts accomplished musicians from as diverse places as India, Turkey, Russia and beyond. Together we have collaborated in order to combine the best of all these different pedagogical techniques and approaches to music. Using each particluar student's favorite music as the fuel for our lessons, World Music Education also emphasizes:

• Western notation. Reading and writing music


• Ear Training and Harmony. Exercising your ear and having a clear understanding of the fundamentals of harmony and melody is the quickest route to having the sounds in your head come directly out of your instrument.


• Rhythm games and exercises


• Improvisation, jamming! We teach the skills and mindset that lead towards the greatest musical freedom and control in the moment.
