The concept of World Music Education classes is to provide the experience of studying and playing with amazing musicians from Africa, South America, India, the Caribbean, and beyond.

World Music Education was created by David Ellenbogen, a musician and producer, who has dedicated his life to exploring and performing music with musicians from all around the globe. The friendships David has made playing music and hosting a World Music radio show has put him in a unique position of knowing many incredible masters of different world music styles.

The first featured teacher will be Abdoulaye Diabate, a Mandingo Griot from Mali. Because Abdoulaye is from the griot caste, his entire extended family has been musicians for over 500 years. When the students learn these rhythms, they are tapping a very deep well.
